Native American Culture
The bead work is well known for its beauty. The key concept I will be using is the Mathematical concept. This design is based on four fold symmetry. The four types of images are related to geometric images because they have lines of symmetry. The four types of images are Embroidery, Plains Indians, Shoshoni Beadwork, Pawnee Buffalo Hide Drum and Navajo Rug. Reflection Symmetry is when the right half of an animal is the mirror image of the left half. The TeePees are an example of base 4 counting. Four Fold Symmetry 3 is commonly used for healing ceremonies. Four Fold Symmetry 4 is shown as coordinates and is used to make coats. Four Fold Symmetry 5 is shown as a Cartesian Coordinate. The Native American bead work created before the European contact. These types of designs were used for TeePees and Coats.
